FAQ

The Irish District is small retail and entertainment district in the Mound View/Uptown neighborhood on Cedar Rapids' northeast side. This nickname comes from three Irish bars in close proximity to each other: Mahoney's, O'Rourke's, and O'Malley's - sometimes called the "Irish Triangle."
You'll hear an eclectic mix of rock, blues, bluegrass and soul music at the Irish District Fest, but no Irish music. While Irish culture is an important part of Cedar Rapids' heritage, our name comes from a neighborhood, not a nationality. This is the Irish DISTRICT Festival.
You bet. In an effort to be family friendly, we welcome you to bring your own refreshment cooler to Irish District Music and Arts Festival. We do not sell alcohol on the premises, so if you want to imbibe, you'll need to bring your own. We ask only that, for everyone's safety, you drink responsibly and leave the glass containers at home.
Our mission is to have a festival that truly is "fun for the whole family." We've kept the admission price relatively low - $5 for adults and kids 12 and under free with an adult - so the entire family can participate. We'll have plenty of activities for the kids, too.
The show goes on, rain or shine, under our roomy and yet cozy tent.
We are a 501(c)(3) public charity, meaning donations are deductible. Consult your tax preparer for additional information.
